When we speak about media and information, an interface is the whole system that produces, formats and delivers the information to the user. Our educational background as well as political systems influence the way we see the world. Similarly, interfaces shape our knowledge. As Marashall MacLuhan said, “the medium is the message”.
This piece aims at expressing the idea that, with the Internet, we are still creating interfaces that narrow our views of the world, although new media bear the potentiality to access information more freely and independently.

This video gives you an idea of my final project.

The mirror on the interface express the idea that interfaces are constructed by humans and that they reflect our prejudices over information. We are dependant from the context we come frome and live in.
The images inside the installation are on the subject of colonization and civilisations. We can see a page from a report of the World bank, where the following excerpt is underligned : "unviable balance of payments deficits".
